Web Site Help

The Tri-County Master Gardeners Association web site was launched in 2011 and is the product of hard work by many individuals. Suzi DuRant and Lynda Creek deserve special thanks for the initial push to get the web site started in 2010 and throughout it's construction in early 2011.

Coding, Standards, and Compatibility

Our web developer is Tim Snoots (Snoots Technology Services LLC). Our web site is driven by the Drupal 7 Content Management System with a custom theme and therefore uses very modern web standards (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript). The use of modern web standards assures that our site loads fast, looks great, is accessible, and has a stable, consistent appearance in any modern, standards-compliant web browser on any computer platform. This site has been tested with current versions of the Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Internet Explorer web browsers, and on the Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms.

To enable us to use modern web standards, this site does not specifically support outdated web browsers such as Internet Explorer 6.

Efforts have been taken to make this web site accessible to all users including those with disabilities. We believe that our site conforms to the best practice guidelines of both the W3C-WAI's "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines" and also U.S. "Section 508" Guidelines for accessibility.

A Site Map is available for our web site.

If you have difficulties using our site with assistive technologies please contact us so we can make improvements and correct the problem.

We respect your privacy and do not collect personally identifiable information (name, email address, or other unique identifier) unless you have knowingly and purposefully provided it to us for a specific purpose. Any information you provide will only be used for the specific purpose stated on the page from which it was collected. If you provide personal information to us, we will never reveal or sell it to a third party.

When browsing our web site your web browser automatically reveals some types of information. While viewing nearly any web site on the web (including ours) the following information is logged by a site's web server:

  • Your computer's operating system and web browser versions
  • Your computer or router's IP address
  • The date and time you accessed the site
  • The pages you visit on our web site
  • If you clicked a link from another web site to reach ours, then the page that linked to us is logged

The above information may be used to determine site usage patterns that allow us to improve our site but will never be revealed or sold to a third party. This data may also be used to identify abusive visitors or hacking attempts.

If you are concerned about any of the student information listed on our site please contact the TCMGA President (president@sctcmg.org).
